Painting parties

If you do not have the space at home to hold painting parties then you can hold the parties like a party plan operation.

A bit like selling tupperware or make up you can produce a small leaflet so your clients can select the item they want to paint. Your hostess will let you know what each client wants to paint.

It is your responsibility to prepare clean and fire the bisque items ready for painting. If your clients are only staining a piece they will be able to take the piece home after the session.

If your client is glazing a piece it will be your responsibility to get it back to the party hostess allowing 7 days for you to turn the piece around.

This method of working is great there are always girls looking to do something different on a hen night or birthday party.

You can entertain children at a birthday party for several hours and all the children leave with a special gift.

You can price the party at a set price per head therefore you can take a selection of things for them to paint or price the pieces.

You will need a kiln, to be able to clean and fire your bisque. Unless you have somewhere where you can buy your bisque ready prepared. You will however make money if you produce your own greenware and prepare it to bisque.

You will therefore need a selection of small moulds that can be poured cleaned and fired.

Paint stock to take with you on your visit and a selection of brushes depending on the size of the party.

Even if you have a studio you can still travel to do your party plan. You will be amazed how many people will want to hold another party or come to join you regularly in your studio.

You can set up a party plan operation for approx 1200 Euros about £800 and if you charge 15.00 Euros or £10.00 per person you can see you will soon earn your money back.
